Picasso's 'treasure trove' revealed

A retired electrician in southern France who worked for Pablo Picasso says he has hundreds of previously unknown works by the artist. The treasure trove of 271 pieces includes lithographs, cubist paintings, notebooks and a watercolour and is said to be worth about 60m euros ($78 Million US Dollars). Retired electrician Pierre Le Guennec, 71, reportedly says Picasso gave him the works as gifts. But the estate's administrators have filed a case for alleged illegal receipt of the works of art.

New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art says Picasso produced more than 20,000 works of art during his long career, but hundreds have been listed as missing - in part because he was so prolific. --Credited Source; BBC World News Europe and The AP News Agency.

I am excited to see what Pierre Le Guennec had in his collection. I can't wait until they are all published. Read the entire artical and watch the new cast via the link below. Enjoy.

Currently Listening To--December 2010

Blonde Redhead - Penny Sparkle Blonde Redhead - Penny Sparkle

Blonde Redhead's new album, Penny Sparkle is a must post for me. I consistently listen to their albums, So naturally I was excited for the release of their new album. In addition to the album release they we've recently went on tour with Pantha du Prince; a concert which I've had the pleasure of attending. Mid-September Pitchfork posted an excellent album review on Penny Sparkle. I've included a link to the Pitchfork album review, two songs and a video. Enjoy!
